Observing
"Virtual" Observing at the Planetarium

Sessions will be held on the following days:
- Tuesday, Jan. 25th
- Tuesday, Feb. 1st
- Wednesday, Feb. 2nd
- Thursday, Feb. 3rd
- Monday, Feb 7th
- Wednesday, Feb 9th
- Monday, Feb. 14th
Sessions begin at 6:45 pm.
Due on March 4th.
Stardial Observing #1
Carefully read and follow the downloadable
instructions and report form..
Due on Feb. 11th.
Night Observing
Register for dates and more information at

Make sure to register for the observation at
http://www.astro.illinois.edu/classes/nightobs/reservation.php and
download the observing form
before you go.
Sessions will be held on the following days:
- Monday, Feb. 28th
- Tuesday, Mar. 1st
- Wednesday, Mar. 2nd
- Thursday, Mar. 3rd
- Monday, Mar 7th
- Wednesday, Mar 9th
- Thursday, Mar. 10th
Sessions begin at 8:00 pm. You will need to spend 45 mins to 1 hour at
the observatory, so make sure to dress appropriately.
Make sure to check the
status of the observing before you go. It maybe cancelled, due to weather.
Due on March 18th.
Solar Observing
Check webpage for dates and more information at

For solar observing you do not need to register, but you must
still
download the observing form
before you go.
Sessions are from 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM at the observatory 12 inch telescope.
You may arrive whenever you want, but you should allow enough time to
spend about 20-30 minutes once you arrive.
Make sure to check the
status of the observing before you go. It may be cancelled, due to weather.
Due on April 15th.
