Hour Exam 3

Date: Wed., Dec 8, 2010

Place and Time: In class at the usual time, at 1:00-1:50pm

Format: 40 Multiple Choice questions

Bring:
- Yourself, well-rested and well-studied
- You may also bring 1 piece of regular,
8.5"× 11" paper with notes written on it. You may
write or print whatever notes or diagrams
you like on (both sides of) the paper. It is
a very good idea to write your own sheet, as the exercise of deciding what
is important, organizing it, and writing it down, is a good way to study.
- Topics: From Lecture 26 to Lecture 37.
Lecture, homeworks, and class discussions are included.
My goal is to test for understanding of the concepts we have discussed, and how they fit together.

so here are some tips on how to approach your studies
for the exam.
- As noted above, lecture, homeworks, and class discussions can be included.
- Last Semester's Exam: Fall 2010 exam is available (
adopted from the final exam) here.
- Review Questions: Some review slides for the Exam.

- Topics: From the beginning of class to Sept 24th.
Lecture, homeworks, class discussions, micro-meteorite lab, and the asteroid
computer lab are included in the material.

- Read through the lecture slides and make sure you understand all the concepts.
- Make sure you understand why you got the HW right or wrong. If the question was
flipped upside down would you still get it right?
- Make sure you understand the large picture of the class discussions.
